Location: Remote (with occasional on-site visits)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management Specialist to join our team at ECS Resource Group. As an IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the organization's IT asset portfolio, including software and hardware. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a detailed inventory of IT assets, including software and hardware.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing IT asset utilization and reducing costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement processes for identifying, categorizing, and tracking IT assets.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive records of software licenses, service agreements, and warranties.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of configuration items (CIs) and assets, including dependencies and attributes.
  • Establish and maintain thorough documentation for procedures, processes, and asset and configuration management reports.
  • Develop and implement governance functions for strategic asset management.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware, with experience working as an IT Asset Manager.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) working with a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the specific business services it supports.
  • IT Service Management (ITSM) tools experience, with a proven ability to successfully execute strategic asset management processes.
  • Strong understanding of IT Service Management processes, with hands-on experience using Discovery tools.
