About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Health Visitor to join our team as a Supervision Lead. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing and developing excellent services for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based practice supervision to Health Visitors and other professionals.
  • Participate in the identification and safeguarding of vulnerable children and families, working collaboratively with families, health visitors, and partner agencies.
  • Work closely with primary health and social care services to respond to population needs and develop effective solutions.
  • Have a deep understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, and be able to support and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Be influential in inspiring change and committed to developing and transforming services.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Extensive experience as a Health Visitor.
  • Significant experience in managing a caseload and safeguarding.
  • Extensive experience of working with multi-agency partners.
  • Knowledge and awareness of current safeguarding legislation related to safeguarding children and adults.
  • Experience of escalation of identified concerns and risk management.
  • Experience in research and audit participation.
  • Experience of delivering supervision and/or leading action learning sets.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would welcome applications from candidates with:

  • Experience of managing change at a service or team level.
  • Experience of setting up supervision within a department or service.
  • Experience of devising and delivering training packages.
  • Experience in root cause analysis in national or local investigations/reviews.
