We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Healthy Lifestyle Advisor at ABL Health Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our weight management and Health Checks program in the community, as well as supporting the development of programs that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Program Delivery
- Deliver ABL Health's Healthy Lifestyles service through one-to-one sessions, group sessions, and digital methods such as Zoom or phone appointments.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based education around nutrition, physical activity, and behavioral change, as advised by the ABL Health team and in line with ABL Health program curriculums.
- Deliver programs with a client-centered approach using skills of positive psychology and motivational interviewing.
- Client Support
- Monitor clients' progress through regular consultations and with the use of Microsoft Excel, identifying specific treatments for those not on track to achieve their goals.
- Work with clients and stakeholders to co-produce in-session materials.
- Contribute to the contract performance report by submitting regular case studies to the project lead.
- Team Collaboration
- Contribute to and support ABL Health's social media pages.
- Work with individuals and groups using SMART goal-setting.
- Develop and deliver live webinars relating to key nutrition trends and topics.
- Administrative Tasks
- Keep detailed files, recording data accurately, ensuring all forms and other documentation is completed correctly.
- Undertake and complete all mandatory and additional skills training as required.
- Have a thorough understanding of ABL Health policies and procedures.
- Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or relevant equivalent experience.
- CIMSPA (previously REPS) qualified Level 2 Gym instructor/Group exercise award or equivalent.
- Registration with CIMSPA (this can be obtained within 6 months of employment).
- Experience
- Experience of delivering groups and/or one-to-one specialist weight management interventions.
- Experience of planning and delivering appropriate health interventions specific to individual requirements.
- Experience working with hard-to-reach groups and tackling health inequalities.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with people.
- Excellent administration, record keeping, and data collection skills.
- IT literate, preferably with experience using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
