Job Summary

This is a 30 hour post with salary pro rata for part-time work. You will work flexibly across six towns in Sandwell, engaging with communities and partners to increase referrals into the service. Your role will involve developing community partnerships, recruiting and coaching peer networks, and working with difficult-to-reach groups to encourage local people to volunteer and support the service.

Main Duties

You will be a motivated and proactive communicator with experience of working in a community setting. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with communities and organisations, and for supporting the development of the service's communication strategy. You will also be expected to engage at neighbourhood, community and place level to recruit a team of Peer Support Volunteers who will work to increase referrals into the service.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit and coach peer facilitator networks across various settings. Engage with local people, services and partners to ensure local awareness and explore partnership opportunities and co-production activities. Work closely with operational colleagues to support and increase referrals and develop partnerships with all potential referrers in your locality. Attend local health forums/groups/meetings where required to represent ABL, promote the service and maintain local partnerships.
