Warehouse Operations Manager - Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of our warehouse and ensuring that our inventory is accurately managed.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have experience in managing warehouse operations, including:

  • Oversight of operational practices, including the safe receipt of deliveries and storage optimization using forward planning and control methods.
  • Assisting in ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  • Checking orders, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
  • Health and Safety Leadership, including food safety and quality assurance.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, good knowledge of health and safety and manual handling procedures, and experience in heavy lifting within a warehouse/stores environment.
