Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Lead Hydrology Specialist to contribute to our expanding operations.

As a Lead Hydrology Specialist, you will be part of a highly skilled and dynamic group of experts, where your contributions are valued, and your professional growth is supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive hydrological evaluations, including assessments of flood risks, water resources, and drought conditions.
  • Performing hydrological modeling and analysis to inform conceptual site frameworks and risk evaluations.
  • Drafting detailed technical reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Effectively communicating with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborating with senior team members on project oversight and technical direction.
  • Offering technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • A postgraduate degree in Catchment Management, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Geography, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of demonstrable practical and technical experience.
  • Proficiency in hydrological calculations utilizing ReFH2 and WINFAP.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, and HEC-RAS.
  • Familiarity with Grapher, GIS, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of UK planning regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong team and project management skills appropriate to your level of experience.
  • A valid full UK driving license.

Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive salary in the range of £30,000 to £40,000, with potential for negotiation.
  • A permanent contract with a standard 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
