Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Hydrologist to contribute to our growth and innovation in water management solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting hydrological evaluations, including assessments of flood risks, water resources, and drought potential.
  • Performing hydrological modeling and analysis to inform conceptual site models and risk evaluations.
  • Creating detailed technical documentation, proposals, and reports for clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Engaging effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborating with senior staff on project oversight and technical direction.
  • Offering technical mentorship and support to junior team members.
Required Qualifications
  • A postgraduate degree in Catchment Management, Hydrology, Geomorphology, Geography, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of demonstrable practical and technical experience.
  • Proficiency in hydrological calculations using ReFH2 and WINFAP.
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, and HEC-RAS.
  • Familiarity with Grapher, GIS, and/or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of UK planning regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong team and project management capabilities commensurate with your experience.
  • A valid full UK driving license.

Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive salary range of £30,000 to £40,000, with potential for negotiation based on experience.
  • A permanent contract with a standard workweek of 40 hours.
