Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. As an Environmental Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a key role in managing environmental scientific instruments and samplers across prototyping, innovation, benchmarking, and commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage UKCEH products across technical support and product deployment
  • Work with UKCEH scientists on innovation for next-generation environmental measurements and designing laboratory and field instruments
  • Collaborate with IT and data scientists to ensure product integration
  • Manage short and long-term field deployments of instruments, samplers, and sensors

Requirements

  • Experience in using environmental samplers and instruments
  • Experience integrating instruments with data acquisition and communication systems
  • Proficiency in CAD and/or CAM software
  • Ability to apply accurate protocols and procedures for commercial product use
  • Experience managing projects and/or tasks to completion, including risk management
  • Ability to work in a team and interact with environmental scientists and engineers
