Global Project Lead


Role Objective:
As a key member of ADP's GlobalView Business Excellence team, the Global Project Lead will oversee the planning, execution, and management of international strategic initiatives to achieve defined outcomes, adhere to timelines, and stay within budgetary constraints. This role requires adherence to ADP GlobalView's established project management framework while effectively managing stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of project management principles, coupled with both technical and business acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels while adapting to evolving priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties/Tasks



• Directs projects from inception to completion, including leading the initiation and planning stages while navigating through the necessary phase gates.

• Develops and implements project work plans, identifying resource requirements and adjusting as necessary to accommodate changing demands.

• Holds responsibility for project results, proactively addressing any issues that arise.

• Guides project teams, overseeing progress, quality, and budget management.

• Issue, Risk & Change Management:
o Manages project scope and evaluates the impact of requested changes.
o Acts as the escalation point for project issues that require resolution.
o Facilitates inter-departmental coordination for specific project tasks.
o Ensures risk management through effective mitigation strategies.
o Maintains accurate tracking of change requests with necessary approvals.

• Oversees overall project coordination, status reporting, and project stability.

• Inspires and leads project teams towards successful outcomes.

• Manages dependencies with other project managers.

• Coordinates communication across diverse project and business teams.

• Manages stakeholder expectations at all organizational levels.

• Adapts project management methodologies to ensure project success.

• Provides monthly project status updates and collaborates closely with key stakeholders and senior management to address project challenges.

• Works in conjunction with management to enhance methodologies and build constructive relationships with fellow project managers.

• Ensures compliance with established methodologies and standards.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Performance Metrics:

• Successful delivery of projects in alignment with defined objectives and constraints.

• Proactive identification and management of risks and issues.

• Promotion of collaboration among project teams.

• Demonstration of the value added by project management to the organization.

• Contribution to the ongoing improvement of Global Project Management methodologies.

Qualifications:

Experience:


• 2-3 years of experience in project management.

• Proven experience leading projects through the complete lifecycle.

• Familiarity with organized project management environments (e.g., as part of a PMO).

• Exposure to international work settings.

• Experience in designing and delivering presentations to varied audiences, including senior management and both technical and non-technical personnel.

• Knowledge of change management and benefits realization in project management.

Skills:


• Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Prince2, CMMI, ITIL, SDLC, RUP, etc.).

• Ability to strategically manage multiple concurrent projects and effectively adapt to changing priorities.

• Extensive knowledge of project management tools, resource management practices, and change management techniques.

• Strong communication and relationship management skills.

• Excellent proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively.

• Capable of thriving under pressure.

• Ability to adjust communication style to suit various working environments, situations, and cultures.

• Proficient in influencing within a matrix organization.

• Exhibits a positive, winning attitude, high integrity, and the ability to inspire confidence with an open and engaging style.

• Ability to interact with all management levels and demonstrate leadership.

• Establishes clear direction, energizes, and aligns teams.

• Capable of managing conflict effectively.

• Able to recognize broader patterns and connections between seemingly unrelated situations.

Education:


• University degree or equivalent experience.

• Project Management certification is a plus.
