About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bupa. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our care homes, ensuring that all maintenance and repair tasks are completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to our residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to all aspects of the care home, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent equipment failure.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that all expenses are properly documented and accounted for.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all maintenance activities are coordinated and completed efficiently.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
  • Ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed, and that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
