Pembrook Resourcing is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join their client, a reputable dealership in the area.
The client's workshop is expanding, and they require an experienced Automotive Technician to join their team. You should have demonstrated expertise as a vehicle technician/mechanic with cars and light trucks. Your responsibilities will include servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify problems with vehicles.
- Explain automotive repairs and issues to customers, providing exceptional customer service.
- Develop repair procedures using technical charts, manuals, and experience.
- Test the functionality of parts and systems.
- Perform basic services and maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
- Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors, and other parts.
- Conduct routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
- Be prepared to obtain additional certifications as needed.
- Be willing to learn through hands-on training.
- Maintain a clean and organized repair shop environment.
Requirements:
- NVQ/City & Guilds certifications are required (Equivalent certifications can be accepted to a level 3 standard).
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Graduated from an associate degree program in vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
- Perform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment (further training provided).
