We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Reed Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our college site in Poole.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Maintenance: You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the site, including the classroom building and surrounding areas.
- Tool and Material Management: You will be responsible for ensuring that all tools and materials are available and in good working order for the site area.
- Health and Safety: You will be responsible for ensuring that site-based health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times.
- Training and Development: You will have the opportunity to receive ongoing training and development in areas such as Skid Steer plant loader training, forklift training, and first aid training.
Requirements:
- Experience: You will have experience of brickwork or construction industry tools and materials.
- Interpersonal Skills: You will have strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
- Initiative: You will be able to work under your own initiative, with a high level of autonomy and flexibility.
- Physical Demands: You will be physically fit and able to perform the demands of the role, which may include manual handling and working at heights.
- Driving License: You will hold a valid driving license, with the ability to drive a flatbed truck between sites.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: You will receive a competitive salary of £24,857 per annum.
- Benefits: You will be entitled to 27.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 30.5 after 5 years' service, as well as up to 4 days additional leave during the Christmas closure period.
- Pension Scheme: You will be enrolled into the NEST Pension Scheme.
