Job Title: Accounts Assistant

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established M&E company in Redhill, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, processing invoices, and handling customer queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Raise and process sales invoices, reconcile accounts, and handle customer queries
  • Proactively chase overdue payments, issue notices, and liaise with customers to ensure prompt payments
  • Prepare weekly reports on invoicing, aged debt, and payment progress
  • Assist with PQQs, self-billing agreements, and retention releases
  • General finance administration including handling incoming calls and email queries
  • Liaise with the outsourced payroll provider when required
  • Support HR administration with onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining employee records

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in Sales Ledger and Credit Control (preferred but not essential)
  • Knowledge of credit control procedures, invoicing, and account reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Package:
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (for experienced candidates), £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (for trainees with college day release)
