Accounts Administrator

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established M&E company in Redhill, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, processing invoices, and handling customer queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise and process sales invoices, reconcile accounts, and handle customer queries
- Proactively chase overdue payments, issue notices, and liaise with customers to ensure prompt payments
- Prepare weekly reports on invoicing, aged debt, and payment progress
- Assist with PQQs, self-billing agreements, and retention releases
- General finance administration including handling incoming calls and email queries
- Liaise with the outsourced payroll provider when required
- Support HR administration with onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining employee records
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Sales Ledger and Credit Control (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of credit control procedures, invoicing, and account reconciliation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Package:
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (for experienced candidates), £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (for trainees with college day release)
