Financial Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Sales Ledger and Credit Control Specialist. This role is focused on sales ledger management and credit control, and the ideal candidate will have previous experience in Sales Ledger and Credit Control, knowledge of credit control procedures, invoicing, and account reconciliation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Raise and process sales invoices, reconcile accounts, and handle customer queries
Proactively chase overdue payments, issue notices, and liaise with customers to ensure prompt payments
Prepare weekly reports on invoicing, aged debt, and payment progress
Assist with PQQs, self-billing agreements, and retention releases
General finance administration including handling incoming calls and email queries
Liaise with the outsourced payroll provider when required
Support HR administration with onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining employee records
Requirements:
Previous experience in Sales Ledger and Credit Control (preferred but not essential)
Knowledge of credit control procedures, invoicing, and account reconciliation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Package:
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (for experienced candidates), £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (for trainees with college day release)
