Role Overview:

As a Night Care Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Clinical Lead/Registered Nurse in delivering exemplary person-centered care while ensuring the dignity and well-being of our residents.
  • Administering medications as required.
  • Leading the night care team to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Ensuring that individualized care plans are followed meticulously by you and your team.
  • Creating a supportive atmosphere where residents and their families feel secure and valued.
  • Participating in clinical supervisions to enhance personal development and improve resident outcomes.
  • Meeting the comprehensive medical, physical, social, and emotional needs of residents while involving them in their care decisions.
  • Providing daily reports to the supervising nurse regarding care delivered and any notable changes.
  • Monitoring nutritional documentation and addressing any concerns regarding dietary intake.
  • Encouraging resident participation in activities that promote mental and physical engagement.
  • Overseeing the accurate completion of care-related documentation.
  • Motivating and mentoring team members to foster strong relationships with residents.
  • Documenting care provided in residents' records as needed.
  • Contributing to care planning and maintaining accurate records for assigned residents.
  • Participating in care reviews and ensuring proactive responses to residents' needs.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
  • Acting as an induction partner for new team members, guiding them through their onboarding process.
  • Supporting the development of junior Health Care Assistants through mentorship.
  • Attending mandatory training sessions to ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding all resident and team member information.
  • Communicating effectively to resolve any concerns raised by residents or team members.
  • Engaging in team meetings to foster collaboration and communication.
  • Ensuring a clean and tidy environment, particularly in residents' personal spaces.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations to protect residents and staff.
  • Documenting and evaluating care plans as directed by the Clinical Lead/Registered Nurse.
  • Managing medication administration in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Assisting with wound care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
  • Serving as a resource for new team members regarding care practices.
  • Leading infection control initiatives within the home.
