About the Role

MSF UK is seeking a highly skilled Epidemiologist to join our team. As an Epidemiologist, you will play a critical role in helping us understand and respond to disease outbreaks in some of the world's most vulnerable communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct epidemiological research and analysis to inform disease control and prevention strategies
  • Design and implement surveillance systems to monitor disease trends and outbreaks
  • Develop and implement data collection and analysis plans to support evidence-based decision making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement disease control and prevention plans
  • Provide technical assistance and training to local health authorities and MSF teams on epidemiological methods and data analysis

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field
  • Proven experience in epidemiological research and analysis, including experience with surveillance systems and data collection and analysis
  • Strong technical skills in epidemiological methods and data analysis, including experience with statistical software
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to delivering results in a timely manner

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience working in low- and middle-income countries or similar environments
  • Fluency in French or Arabic
  • Previous experience in a similar role with another non-governmental organization
