Internal Controls Specialist

Financial Oversight and Reporting

Analyze and document existing financial operations processes to identify deficiencies and opportunities for enhancement. This will encompass all Group and regional activities across AMER, EMEA, and APAC.

Assist the Group Finance Manager in developing a comprehensive suite of FRS102 accounting policies for implementation by Global finance teams, while also supporting local finance teams in their execution.

Contribute to the creation of control frameworks that align with the Group accounting policies and facilitate global adoption.

Engage with the Finance and Operations community to ensure compliance with policies, making necessary adaptations and documenting any agreed-upon exceptions.

Collaborate with Internal Audit to regularly assess and validate finance processes and controls, reporting significant findings to Group Management.

Support the design of control testing workbooks and guidelines to facilitate peer-to-peer testing of controls.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives for the Group's monthly financial reporting processes and controls, including intercompany transactions.

Conduct regular reviews and substantiation of the Group balance sheet and key controls.

Assist in the preparation of a Group reporting pack for use across the organization.

Perform ad hoc financial control tasks as needed to support the Group Financial Control team.

Qualifications

Essential

Demonstrated technical accounting expertise in international groups with a strong understanding of UK GAAP, including group accounting, goodwill, capitalized development costs, and business combinations.

Proficient in finance systems.

Ability to establish effective professional relationships swiftly and work collaboratively.

Capable of working efficiently under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in dynamic and evolving organizations.

Proficient in designing and implementing controls across an international Group.

Preferred

Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP systems and Power BI.

Experience in financial reporting and control within a multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional Group environment.

Background in consultancy or professional services.
