Deputy Student Administration Manager

The School of Computer Science is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the School as Deputy Student Administration Manager (DSAM). This is an exciting opportunity to play an active role in the management of student administration and education processes related to undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes within the School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Student Administration Manager (SAM) and colleagues in the wider Faculty to ensure students receive consistently high-quality administrative support during their studies.
  • Deputise for the Student Administration Manager when required and take an active role in developing and enhancing existing processes within the school.
  • Support team members that you line manage and the wider team in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Take initiative and be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to processes.
  • Work in partnership with academic and professional services staff to drive forward change and deliver effective, efficient processes.
Requirements
  • High level of initiative, communication, and organisational skills to be an effective and supportive manager and leader.
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate, with a high level of accuracy, flexibility, and customer service skills.
  • Experience in using a range of IT systems and ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
  • Resilience and positivity, even when dealing with complex and challenging problems.
