Job Title: Classroom Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the education, personal, and social development of pupils in the class, including those with SEN and/or bilingual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Education: Assist in monitoring the personal, social, and emotional needs of pupils, and develop positive relationships with pupils to support their progress and attainment.
  • Individual Targets: Assist in devising and monitoring individual targets for pupils, and support a particular pupil as part of a planned inclusion programme.
  • Learning Support: Assist in the development of skills that support learning, promote self-esteem, independence, and resilience for learning, and provide welfare support in line with the School's behavioural/safeguarding and SEN Policies.
  • Support the School: Assist in providing an atmosphere in which effective learning can take place, support the promotion of positive relationships with parents, carers, and outside agencies, and work within school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: The successful candidate will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
