Supporting Young Minds: A Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Preston. The successful candidate will have a Level 2 or above qualification and a genuine interest in supporting and developing young people.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with their learning and development
- Assist with classroom activities and provide individualized support
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a positive learning environment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans
- NVQ Level 2 or above qualification
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
- Recent experience of working with children in KS1 or KS2
- Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Recent experience of supporting and assisting pupils with their learning
- First Aid Certificate
- Team Teach Certificate
- Experience of administrative tasks
- Experience of working with children with SEND
- Experience of supporting children with challenging behavior
