Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work with pupils who require additional support to manage their behaviour and develop positive relationships with their peers and teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and reduce challenging behaviour.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to develop and implement individualised behaviour plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them develop social and emotional skills.
  • Assist teachers in creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of behaviour policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
