About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Behaviour Assistant to work with primary schools in the Preston area. As a Behaviour Assistant, you will work on a full or half-day basis, challenging and motivating pupils, reinforcing self-esteem, and providing pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement behaviour plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with SEN, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • Contribute to raising achievement and attendance by providing targeted support to pupils.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Participate in safeguarding procedures and ensure the well-being of all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN.
  • Ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of individual pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
