Job Summary
The Priory Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Lighthouse, a specialist residential home for young people aged 13-18 with complex mental health and associated risk-taking behaviors.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for the supervision and care of our young people, providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support young people in their daily routines, including educational and therapeutic activities
- Participate in activities and engage with young people to promote their social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, promoting their resilience and coping skills
- Contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to Priory Group's policies and procedures
Requirements
- Positive and proactive approach to working with young people
- Experience in care or a related field (desirable but not essential)
- Big heart and passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people
- Patience, enthusiasm, and resilience
