Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive HR Advisor to join our team at ENS Recruitment. As the sole HR representative, you will be responsible for managing all HR-related responsibilities, working closely with the Finance Director and CEO to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Create and manage online job postings to attract top talent, optimizing direct hires over agency usage.
    • Negotiate fees with recruitment agencies, if required.
    • Conduct thorough telephone screenings and shortlist candidates.
    • Coordinate interviews with management teams.
    • Update recruitment trackers and notify management of progress.
    • Monitor recruitment budgets to prevent overspending.
    • Prepare offer letters, induction packs, and contracts for new hires.
    • Implement digital onboarding processes using signable to reduce paper usage.
    • Collaborate with the planning team and supervisors to develop employee induction plans.
    • Ensure new starters meet compliance requirements, including right-to-work checks and reference verification.
  • Staff Engagement and Wellbeing
    • Communicate company events and milestones to employees bi-annually.
    • Organize charity events, such as coffee mornings, to foster a positive work environment.
    • Send email updates on important dates, like mental health awareness week.
    • Plan and execute summer and Christmas parties, including venue booking, entertainment, and accommodations for field employees.
    • Distribute gift cards to field employees.
  • Employee Relations and Support
    • Investigate and resolve employee concerns, disciplinary issues, and dismissals.
    • Collect evidence for cases and collaborate with the legal team and/or ACAS to ensure best practices.
    • Host investigation meetings and disciplinary hearings.
    • Take minutes and write up reports.
    • Maintain the HR database, including tracking unplanned absences.
  • Training and Development
    • Work with the Health and Safety Advisor to source training providers.
    • Book training sessions for employees.
  • Administrative and Compliance Tasks
    • Ensure employee personal information is kept confidential and up-to-date on HR systems.
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
    • Support the administration of annual pay reviews, employee surveys, and HR statistics.
    • Maintain employee benefits administration.
    • Create and maintain employee personnel files, adhering to data protection guidelines.
    • Process leavers and calculate final pay.
    • Process paperwork associated with employment changes and contract variations.

A comprehensive handover will be provided by the current HR Advisor prior to their departure.

Salary: £33,000 pro rata. Full-time office-based, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
