About the Role:

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team in a spectacular mental health hospital based in the Greater Manchester area. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers, delivering high-quality care and treatment to patients with challenging and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Prescribed Care: Provide individualized care to patients, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate progress with patients and their families.
  • Communication and Engagement: Accurately communicate with patients, observe, and engage with them to assess needs and evaluate progress.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governance to ensure high standards of care.
  • Information Provision: Provide accurate information about care in an accessible format to patients and their families.
  • Nurse in Charge: Ensure a safe environment as the Nurse in Charge of the Ward.
  • Documentation: Complete notes and incident reports.
  • Escalation: Escalate concerns regarding patient well-being, incidents, or staffing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support and Development: Support new, junior, or agency staff, and deliver person-centered care to the required standards.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • NMC Standards: Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, requests, and professional practices.
  • Commitment to Quality: Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
  • Innovative Approaches: Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, IT literate.
