Job Title: Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Paediatric Diabetes Team as a Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, holistic evidence-based care to children, young people, and their families. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide structured education at diagnosis and ongoing education. You will also be responsible for delivering education to ward staff, doctors, nurseries, schools, and other healthcare professionals.

Main Duties
  • Deliver high-quality, holistic evidence-based care to children, young people, and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide structured education at diagnosis and ongoing education.
  • Deliver education to ward staff, doctors, nurseries, schools, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Act as an advocate for children and young people with diabetes.
  • Provide an effective, holistic, and developmental approach to diabetes care from infancy to adolescence.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • RSCN/RN (Child) with the Nursing Midwifery Council.
  • Degree level, specialist training, or equivalent experience.
  • Appropriate experience in paediatric nursing.
  • Appropriate teaching/assessing experience.
  • Current driving license.
