We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to work within our Paediatric Diabetes Team, providing high-quality, holistic care to children and young people with diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to children, young people, and their families.
  • Provide education and training to ward staff, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Assess and manage the physical and mental health needs of children and young people with diabetes.
  • Act as an advocate for children and young people with diabetes.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist with:

  • RSCN/RN (Child) with the Nursing Midwifery Council.
  • Degree-level specialist training or equivalent experience.
  • Appropriate experience in paediatric nursing.
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills.
