About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Director to join our team at Everest Insurance (Ireland), dac. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in supporting our rapidly growing International Insurance business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with our insurance operations.
  • Provide independent oversight of quantitative risks, including insurance risk, financial risk, and solvency risk.
  • Lead the development and implementation of risk-based strategies to enhance our risk culture and promote a culture of risk awareness throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues across multiple functional areas and international offices to provide risk-based insights and support business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and first-line subject matter experts.
  • Attend relevant management committees and provide risk management advice and support as required.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of quantitative non-life insurance and financial risks.
  • Experience of Solvency II pillar 1 requirements.
  • Non-life actuarial experience is preferable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and develop effective working relationships across the business.
