About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Radisson Blu Hotel, London Marble Arch. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and exceeding targets in the hotel industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Demand: Research and identify new business opportunities across all revenue streams, including corporate, conference, leisure, and social, to support hotel budgets.
  • Account Management: Actively manage local accounts with a structured plan and consistent upselling approach.
  • Local Sales Initiatives: Own and drive local sales through social media activities, welcome desks, and showcase events.
  • Implement Sales & Marketing Plan: Update information and record results monthly to ensure positive activities are repeated and unsuccessful ones are evaluated and adjusted.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay fully conversant with all hotels, services, packages, promotions, and special offers.
  • Lead Generation: Identify sales opportunities for all Axiom Hospitality Hotels from new and existing customers.
  • Liaison: Manage and develop business from Brand Partners managed accounts.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with Events Agents, Association bodies, and direct corporate sales.
Requirements
  • Experienced Sales Professional: Proven track record in the hotel market and account management.
  • Strategic Approach: Proven ability to exceed KPIs and business development targets.
  • CRM and Sales Tools: Knowledge and experience of using CRM, S&C, and RFP systems.
  • Sales Training: Formal sales training in negotiations, strategic selling, and account management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and online tools.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure to deadlines and targets.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the hospitality and travel industry.
  • Independence: Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision, taking full ownership of a portfolio of hotels.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills (written and verbal).
