Job Summary

The Employee Relations Advisor will provide expert guidance and support to Trust employees and managers, ensuring compliance with employment laws and policies. This role involves working closely with the Senior Employee Relations Advisors and HR Business Partnering team to deliver an effective HR service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on employment policies and procedures, including Agenda for Change terms and conditions of service.
  • Support the Senior ER Advisor(s) and HR Business Partner(s) in a proactive manner, taking minutes at meetings, collating hearing and tribunal packs, and providing general support to the ER Administrators.
  • Direct staff and managers to appropriate policies and template letters, ensuring their implementation.
  • Liaise with Occupational Health to manage sickness-related absence cases, ensuring outcome letters and actions are followed up in a timely and professional manner.
  • Deal with general enquiries, recording and relaying accurate messages, and ensuring all correspondence is accurate.
Requirements
  • GCSE level (including Maths and English) or equivalent professional experience.
  • NVQ level 5 or equivalent professional experience.
  • CIPD or working towards.
Key Skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to director level.
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner.
  • Able to convey ideas and advise clearly.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Good attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
