Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including sickness absence, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
  • Communicate complex information and processes to managers and employees, ensuring that they are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
  • Support managers in conducting sickness absence reviews, disciplinary hearings, and grievance investigations.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health to provide guidance and support on complex sickness cases.
  • Monitor and report on employee relations metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for managers on employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including flexible working, fixed-term contracts, and data protection.
Requirements
  • CIPD qualification or working towards.
  • Knowledge of employment law and employee relations.
  • Experience of working in a HR role, preferably in the public sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
