Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, troubleshooting, and optimizing dies used in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and maintain dies, ensuring precise alignment of punches and cutting tools.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop and implement die modifications for improved performance.
  • Conduct in-press development activities, including panel matching, adjustments, and troubleshooting to achieve precise part specifications.
  • Set up dies in presses, configure coil feeders, and ensure smooth operation of progressive dies.
  • Work closely with the quality team to identify and resolve issues related to out-of-specification parts.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to apprentices and other team members.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a licensed Tool and Die Maker or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in press operation and die maintenance.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T callouts and symbols.
  • Machining and grinding experience is a valuable asset.
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to dust and noise. Travel to customer sites may be required on occasion.

The physical demands of this position include extended periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and crouching. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
