About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Whitley Court in Paignton. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality catering service that meets the diverse needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that cater to the individual needs of our customers, including special diets.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality and safety, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Team Management: Supervise and develop a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Inventory Management: Manage food and labour budgets, ensuring that menus are delivered within budgetary constraints.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a catering environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Qualifications: Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality, and a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of online catering software packages and health and safety procedures.
