Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting menu items to meet the highest standards according to the Head Chef's specifications.
  • Refine menu plans, suggest improvements to existing dishes, and support budgeting efforts.
  • Implement kitchen policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
  • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including stock rotation, ordering, and minimizing waste.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring the pastry kitchen complies with all health and safety regulations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating exceptional dishes.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential.
  • Attention to detail and creativity while maintaining the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
