Youth Care Specialist for Young Girl

Nexus Care Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Carer for a young girl with special needs. This role is crucial in providing support and enhancing the quality of life for our client.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will work with an 18-year-old girl who has a learning age significantly younger than her chronological age. She is a wheelchair user who is capable of self-propelling and is assisted with a ceiling track hoist.
Working Hours:
The role requires support during the evenings and on Sunday mornings, specifically:
- Evenings: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM, four days a week
- Sunday Morning: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating social interaction and engagement
- Assisting with personal care needs
- Administering care related to a Gravity PEG, including necessary 'winding'
Qualifications:
A minimum of 6 months of experience in a caregiving role is required.
