Job Summary:

Southdown is seeking a skilled Recovery Advisor to join our team running the Staying Well Brighton & Hove crisis service. As a key member of our team, you will provide one-to-one and group support to clients experiencing crisis, utilizing your expertise in mental health or equivalent transferable skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support services to clients in crisis, focusing on their individual needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective support plans, ensuring a comprehensive and coordinated approach.
  • Contribute to the development of our innovative community mental health services, working closely with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, ensuring you remain up-to-date with best practices in mental health support.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of working in mental health or equivalent transferable skills.
  • Genuine passion for supporting people to explore their needs and develop coping strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our clients.
