The AICS Group is a leading provider of community-based rehabilitation and support services for individuals with brain injuries, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, learning disabilities, complex behavior, and social and personal needs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide support to our male client who has acquired a brain injury. The successful candidate will work closely with our client to achieve their rehabilitation goals and provide assistance with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to our client, including assistance with mobility, hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, and laundry.
  • Support our client in achieving their rehabilitation goals, including participation in therapy sessions and community activities.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records of our client's progress and provide regular updates to our team.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in health and social care.
  • UK Driving License.
  • Moving and handling training.
  • Rehabilitation experience.
  • Basic understanding of developmental delay and cognitive impairment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work in a client's home.
  • Ability to liaise with healthcare professionals daily.
  • Ability to take a person-centered approach.
  • Experience in medication administration, personal care, and manual handling.
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to take on feedback.
  • Ability to think outside the box.
