Residential Childcare Support Worker

Location: Bridgwater

Contract: Shift Pattern - ad-hoc cover

Salary: £ per hour plus sleep in shifts when required

Headway Adolescent Resources is a leading provider of residential adolescent childcare services. We pride ourselves on delivering holistic care to young people, regardless of their background.

We are seeking a Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our new residential home on a casual basis. This opportunity offers flexibility and the chance to work with a dynamic team.

As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will work with young people with challenging behaviour, requiring flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to providing high-quality childcare. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support and care to young people in a residential setting
  • Working collaboratively with the team to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing daily reports
  • Engaging with young people, motivating, and encouraging them to reach their full potential
  • Driving and transporting young people as required

Applicants must have:

  • Previous experience working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Qualifications in Children and Young People (QCF level)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer skills to an intermediate level
  • Full manual driving license
