Residential Childcare Support Worker

Location: Bridgwater

Contract: Shift Pattern - ad-hoc cover

Salary: £ per hour plus sleep in shifts when required

Headway Adolescent Resources is a leading provider of residential adolescent childcare services. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care that meets the unique needs of each young person.

We are seeking a Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team to provide support to young people with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to young people with challenging behaviour in a residential setting
  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes for young people
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Full manual driving license essential
