Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our residential homes, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people with challenging behavior.

Job Summary:

This is a permanent role with excellent career prospects and a comprehensive training program within an expanding company. You will work on a days on and days off shift pattern with sleep-ins, and be eligible for generous allowances for bank holidays, overtime hours, and a performance-related bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with young people with challenging behavior in a residential setting
  • Provide a high standard of childcare to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes
  • Be flexible, resilient, honest, and well-organized
  • Have good interpersonal skills and be a positive team player
  • Be capable of working on their own initiative to a high level of accuracy
  • Have good oral and written communication skills
  • Engage, motivate, and encourage young people
  • Hold a full manual driving license
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working with challenging young people (preferably in a residential setting)
  • Qualified to QCF level in Children and Young People, or willing to work towards the qualification
  • Computer experience to an intermediate level
  • Ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements
  • Empathetic nature
Benefits:
