Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Governance Leader to join our Board of Directors. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our company and ensuring the effective governance of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Offer insights on market trends, changes to the regulatory landscape, and the competitive landscape to inform our strategic decision-making.
  • Independent Oversight: Ensure that HSB EIL adheres to high standards of corporate governance by providing independent oversight and guidance to the Board and management team.
  • Risk Management: Monitor the organisation's financial performance against targets and adherence to key control frameworks, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the company.
  • Leadership Development: Demonstrate commitment to building an equitable and inclusive work environment, fostering a culture of innovation and resilience, and promoting the development of our leadership team.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the Board, management team, and other stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on key issues and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record of strategic governance leadership, risk management, and leadership development in a similar role.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and the competitive market.
  • Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate others, and to drive change and innovation.
