Role Overview

As a Relationship Director at Barclays, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong partnerships with clients in the Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics (MTL) sector. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying client financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance to inform strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of client industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive environments to drive business growth.
  • Provide guidance to clients on financial decisions, risk management, and wealth management strategies, ensuring a positive and continuous relationship.
  • Assess and mitigate financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships, implementing measures to minimize potential losses.
  • Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential new opportunities, market trends, and customer needs, driving strategies for business growth.

  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
