We are currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to enhance our presence in the Midlands and Northern regions.

Role Overview

As a key contributor at First Response Group, you will play a vital role in propelling our growth by securing valuable contracts. Your duties will include initiating proactive sales strategies, nurturing relationships with current clients, participating in competitive bidding processes, and seizing reactive opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop profitable new business avenues through comprehensive market analysis and strategic planning.
  • Communicate effectively with both existing and prospective clients to build robust relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit detailed tenders, PQQs, RFIs, and other essential documentation to secure new contracts.
  • Target and acquire clients across both private and public sectors, customizing approaches to meet specific requirements.
  • Engage proactively with potential clients at industry events, conferences, and through various networking platforms to broaden the client base.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of proposals, quotations, and other necessary paperwork to facilitate seamless transactions.
  • Maintain an organized sales database to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions efficiently.
  • Consistently meet and exceed individual sales targets, providing regular updates to the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overarching business objectives and enhance customer experience.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
Essential Qualifications
  • Actively engage in industry networking events and professional forums to remain updated on trends and expand professional connections.
  • Exhibit outstanding communication and relationship-building skills to foster strong, enduring partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and other relevant software.
  • Possess advanced negotiation skills with the experience and credibility to engage effectively at senior levels, both internally and externally.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to travel, accommodating the needs of clients and business opportunities across various regions.
  • Showcase strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and client requirements.
  • Display a proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Exhibit a high level of organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
