Position: ADHD Support Assistant
Location: Preston
Hours: Full-time, 8:45 am - 3:15 pm daily, Monday to Friday
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Are you dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of children? Do you possess expertise in assisting children diagnosed with ADHD? We are looking for a committed ADHD Support Assistant to become a vital part of our team, providing essential support to children in Key Stage 1 who require additional assistance due to ADHD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized one-on-one and small group assistance to children with ADHD in diverse educational environments.
- Help implement tailored support strategies to address the unique needs of each child.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that promotes both social and academic growth for children with ADHD.
- Collaborate with educators and other specialists to assess progress and modify support approaches as needed.
- Encourage positive behavior and emotional regulation techniques that are specifically designed for children with ADHD.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children diagnosed with ADHD is a must.
- A kind and patient demeanor when supporting children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Ability to adapt swiftly to evolving situations and proactively respond to children's needs.

All pay rates mentioned include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of becoming permanent in some cases. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, conducting necessary checks on all workers in line with DfE statutory guidance. We also provide FREE child protection and prevent duty training for all registered candidates. All candidates must undergo or have completed a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, with full assistance provided.
