Position Title: ADHD Support Assistant

Location: Preston

Working Hours: Full-time, 8:45 am - 3:15 pm, Monday to Friday

Compensation: £12.90 per hour

Are you committed to enhancing the lives of children? Do you possess experience in supporting children diagnosed with ADHD? We are looking for a dedicated ADHD Support Assistant to join our team and provide essential assistance to children in Key Stage 1 who require additional support due to ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver individualized and small group support to children with ADHD in diverse educational environments.
  2. Assist in the execution of tailored support plans to address the unique needs of each child.
  3. Encourage a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that promotes both social and academic growth for children with ADHD.
  4. Collaborate with educators and other professionals to assess progress and modify support strategies as needed.
  5. Facilitate positive behavior and emotional regulation techniques specifically designed for children with ADHD.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children with ADHD is crucial.
  • A caring and patient demeanor when supporting children with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external specialists.
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to evolving situations and proactively address the needs of children.
