Position Overview

An exceptional opportunity has emerged to become a part of North Norfolk Primary Care Ltd, serving as a pharmacist within a Primary Care Network. This role is pivotal in enhancing patient care and collaborating with a dedicated team.

We seek a skilled, enthusiastic, and dependable clinical pharmacist to engage closely with the healthcare team and other network personnel to uphold and elevate the quality of care provided to patients.

As part of this role, the successful candidate will complete a recognized training program, including independent prescribing, which will empower them to practice and prescribe safely and effectively in a primary care environment. A robust support system will be in place to mentor the clinical pharmacist throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be a vital member of the general practice team and the broader pharmacist network. They will enhance patient health outcomes and the operational efficiency of the Primary Care team by delivering direct, accessible, and timely pharmaceutical expertise. Responsibilities include:

  • Optimizing medication management to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Supporting clinical staff in the management of patient medications.
  • Effectively communicating and influencing clinical colleagues and support staff.

The post holder will work across various practices within the Primary Care Network, serving as a key link for patient medication information between community and acute care settings.

As part of their professional development, the post holder will gain qualifications through an accredited training pathway, including independent prescribing, ensuring they can practice and prescribe competently in a primary care context. A comprehensive mentorship network will be available to support the Clinical Pharmacist.
