An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Pharmacy Technician to join the Oncology and Haematology Pharmacy team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing a clinical pharmacy service to the Weybourne Day Unit and Mulbarton Ward, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe and efficient supply of medicines.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain an advanced clinical technical service, including the clinical verification of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) and supportive treatments.
- Maintain and build new and existing SACT regimens on ARIA, ensuring new drugs are added and available on JAC and regimens are added to the CASPER SACT referral system.
- Contribute to the implementation and writing of SACT Treatment Protocols for Oncology and Haematology.
- Contribute to the implementation and writing of Standard Operating Procedures accompanying the Clinical technical services.
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Accredited checking technician for final checking of dispensed medicines.
- Leadership/management course certificate or diploma.
- BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
- Significant experience of working in pharmacy oncology/haematology.
