About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Housing Specialist Advocate. This is an exciting opportunity to work with survivors of domestic abuse, providing expert support and guidance to help them achieve safe and stable housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent domestic violence advocacy and support to women who are experiencing housing-related issues
  • Work closely with clients to develop individual safety and support plans, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances
  • Collaborate with housing service providers and other agencies to ensure that clients receive the best possible support and outcomes
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and risk assessments to identify the most effective solutions for clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their journey
Requirements
  • Proven experience in providing independent domestic violence advocacy and support
  • Strong knowledge of housing laws and regulations, as well as the needs and experiences of survivors of domestic abuse
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external agencies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
