About Our Service User

Our service user is a joyful 10-year-old boy who enjoys a lively home environment. He thrives on interaction, fun, and spending quality time with his family, friends, and care team. His favorite activities include using his iPad, watching entertaining videos, and engaging in arts and crafts.

He is sociable and is eager to connect with a friendly care team to create wonderful memories together. He enjoys outdoor adventures and will share stories about his day while you support him.

Your role will involve assisting with all aspects of his care, remaining attentive to his needs, which can be demanding at times. This includes personal care, addressing clinical requirements, and conducting regular observations. As he is wheelchair-dependent, you will provide assistance with mobility and hoisting.

Throughout the night, you will monitor him closely, perform frequent repositioning, and attend to his personal care needs as necessary. While he generally sleeps well, your presence will offer comfort and reassurance should he wake, ensuring a peaceful environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 months experience in child care
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling
  • Medication Administration
  • Clinical Care experience

Desirable Experience (not mandatory as full training is provided)

  • Tracheostomy care
  • PEG Feeding
  • Ventilation Care
  • Cough Assist

Available Shifts

  • Part Nights - 2 shifts per week
  • 7:15 PM - 7:30 AM
  • Availability on Sundays is essential

Compensation Overview

Weeknights: £15.00 per hour (Approx. £183.75 per 12.25-hour shift)

Saturday: £15.50 per hour (Approx. £189 per 12.25-hour shift)

Sunday: £16.00 per hour (Approx. £196 per 12.25-hour shift)

Bank Holiday: £18.50 per hour (Approx. £226 per 12.25-hour shift)
