Role Overview

As a Children's Residential Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and secure environment for children and young people. Your contribution will be vital in shaping the daily operations of the residential home.

In this role, you will engage with children and young people, becoming an integral part of their lives and supporting their growth and development. Each day will present unique challenges and rewards, similar to the experiences shared with family and friends.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the lives of the children and young people in your care:

  • Empowering Independence: Assist children and young people with daily tasks, helping them build confidence and self-sufficiency.
  • Establishing Structure: Provide guidance and support to create a sense of belonging and accountability.
  • Creating Safe Spaces: Foster meaningful relationships and ensure a secure environment for engagement and growth.
  • Facilitating Memorable Experiences: Organize activities that promote fun and adventure, enriching the lives of the children and young people.

Candidate Profile

While prior experience in a residential setting is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We value transferable skills from various backgrounds, including education and caregiving. The ideal candidate will possess:
